Zoufris Maracas

Zoufris Maracas arrive at Le Chabada in Angers on April 16, 2026, for a set that crosses borders without a passport. Alter-globalization and borderless, both activist and apolitical, these traveling songwriters upend the conventions of French chanson with colorful guitars and melodies brought back from the four corners of the world. You might think of Mano Negra or Les Négresses Vertes for their energy and cultural mixing, but their signature lies in the blend of poetic lyrics, social commitment and a genuine desire to make people dance to serious themes.
