Info
L’Olympia in Paris will host Amaarae on April 26, 2026, for a concert that encapsulates her hybrid trajectory across pop, R&B, alternative and Afrobeats. Born Ama Serwah Genfi and raised between Atlanta, New Jersey and Accra, she has established herself as a singular voice on the global stage, driven by sensual, emancipated songs. With Black Star, her Interscope release, she pushes those blends further — mixing ghettotech, house, techno, baile funk and African music, inspired by stays in Miami, Los Angeles, Brazil and Ghana. The album celebrates the Black diaspora and reaffirms African heritage within contemporary dance music.
First revealed by The Angel You Don’t Know (2020) and propelled worldwide by the success of Sad Girlz Luv Money (Remix) with Kali Uchis and Moliy, Amaarae followed up with Fountain Baby (2023), which drew attention from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and The New Yorker. She has also appeared alongside Childish Gambino, Stormzy, Janelle Monáe, Kaytranada, Jorja Smith and Tiwa Savage. As the first Ghanaian artist programmed at Coachella in 2025, she advocates freedom and self-assurance. On stage, an ethereal voice, sharp lyrics and driving rhythms meet — balancing club intensity with a keen sense of melody.
