L'été au Château 2026 : Calogero

As part of the L'été au Château 2026 festival, Calogero will appear on 17 July 2026 at the Château de l’Empéri in Salon-de-Provence. A songwriter, composer and bassist and a leading figure of French pop rock who progressed from his beginnings with Les Charts to a lasting solo career, he offers with Un soir dans les théâtres a more intimate format that puts voice, lyrics and bass at the forefront. Between classics and recent tracks, he revisits his repertoire with tightened arrangements and an explicitly close approach.

His instantly catchy melodies, finely wrought bass lines and knack for choruses that stick in the mind are carried by a compact band and restrained staging. Calogero alternates subtlety and soaring moments, unveils the songcraft and allows the instruments to breathe. The château setting gives a particular resonance to this interlude, between stone and summer sky, for a concert conceived to stay close to the pieces, focused on voice, words and harmonies. It is an opportunity to hear his songs differently, at the heart of a heritage site that amplifies their resonance.
