Hajaj

Hajaj will perform on the Étoiles Paris stage on April 30, 2026. Abdul Rahman Hajaj is a Saudi singer-songwriter who divides his time between Jeddah and London. From an early age, Arabic poetry and a mix of world music have shaped his way of writing and singing, with music serving as both refuge and a medium of expression. His EP Last Call For Coco (2021), produced by Aidan Glover, brings together musicians from the London jazz scene and is devoted to portraying the cycles of relationships—their surges and their lulls—through sensitive songwriting. In October 2025, he released The Waiting Room, a new EP that continues along this path. His artistic signature draws on a lingering nostalgia, the search for a home and a romantic utopia, while blending Arabic influences with contemporary sounds. On stage, Hajaj leans on the text, supple melodies and pared-back arrangements, where poetry, emotion and sonic exploration answer one another.
