Ezra Collective lands in Paris on February 24, 2027, at the Zénith in Paris, with Here Because Of Hope in tow, an album conceived as a three-movement narrative, at once intimate and threaded by the routes of the Black diaspora. From the African continent to the Caribbean, to the streets of London where the group formed, the quintet circulates ideas and rhythms with a sense of collectivity that has made them identifiable since the London clubs and youth programs. Femi Koleoso, TJ Koleoso, Joe Armon-Jones, James Mollison and Ife Ogunjobi push their hybrid jazz to the point where it intersects with afrobeat, soul, hip-hop or reggae, without losing the taste for groove and momentum.
In the opening act, Joy Anonymous (Henry Counsell and Louis Curran) bring their club-oriented live vision, between house, UK garage and breakbeat. A London duo that loves bold build-ups, catchy hooks and pounding rhythms, with this direct way of lifting a venue.
