Info
Kim Wilde burst onto the scene in 1981 with "Kids in America" and established herself immediately. Over 30 million records sold, 15 albums, a string of singles that marked the 1980s: "Chequered Love", "Cambodia", "You Keep Me Hangin' On", a No. 1 in the United States. In 1983 she was voted Best British Female at the BPI Awards. She then accompanied Michael Jackson on the Bad tour in Europe and shared the bill with David Bowie on his Greatest Hits tour in 1990.
In the 1990s, Love Moves and Love Is produced "Love Is Holy" and a cover of "If I Can't Have You", while the compilation The Singles Collection 1981–1993 closed out a dense first decade. After a hiatus, she returned to the stage in 2001, signed with EMI in Germany and released Never Say Never in 2006, followed by dozens of concerts.
In 2021, Pop Don’t Stop – The Greatest Hits brought the essentials back into focus with "Shine On", a duet with Boy George, followed by a 2022–2023 tour in Europe and the United States, before the acoustic Wilde Winter. A new chapter with Closer is expected in January 2025. On 17 April 2026, Kim Wilde performs at Le Bikini in Ramonville-Saint-Agne, blending classics and new material.
