Rounhaa
Of Moroccan and Martinican heritage, Rounhaa is part of the francophone rap scene emerging from Geneva, at the crossroads of the Swiss scene and France’s new generation of rappers. He came forward with the projects Yeratik and Horion, which establish an artistic universe where confrontational rap tracks sit alongside more restrained, melancholic pieces such as “DUBAÏ.” His writing moves between trap, melodic rap and more direct forms, focusing on atmosphere and vocal variation rather than a single register. This positioning aligns him with Genevan artists like Makala as well as French rappers such as Khali or La Fève, without placing him in a fixed formula. Rounhaa thus builds a trajectory shaped by current circulations in francophone rap: local rootedness, cross-border affinities and a pursuit of a flexible expression capable of shifting from a tense cut to a more introspective color.
