Jordana

Born in Washington, D.C., Jordana Nye records under the name Jordana, creating an intimate brand of pop rooted in bedroom pop, with melodic songwriting that blends indie pop, lo-fi textures and occasionally rougher guitars. Trained first on violin before switching to guitar, Jordana emerged in 2019 with Classical Notions of Happiness, released independently and reissued in 2020 after she signed with Grand Jury Music. That same year, the EPs Something to Say and ...To You formed the basis for the album Something to Say to You (2020), which established a flexible format between DIY songs, airy arrangements and a dreamy tone. Jordana then integrated into the American indie scene through a series of releases that broadened her aesthetic, notably Summer’s Over (2021), an EP made in collaboration with TV Girl. With Face the Wall (2022) she at times emphasized a more direct, rock-leaning vein without abandoning very clear pop choruses, and she continued that evolution on Lively Premonition (2024), where her music gained in scope and contrast. Her trajectory also includes occasional collaborations, such as “Safe House” with Yot Club in 2023 and her contribution to Dent May’s “Coasting on Fumes” in 2024.
