Blink-182

Formed in 1992 in Poway, San Diego County, Blink-182 initially emerged from the Southern California skate-punk scene before broadening their sound toward a more melodic pop-punk—combining punk energy, direct hooks and alternative rock tones. The most recognized core lineup comprises Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, who joined in 1998 after the departure of drummer Scott Raynor. Following early releases Cheshire Cat (1995) and Dude Ranch (1997), the trio reached greater prominence with Enema of the State (1999) and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket (2001), while remaining tied to punk touring culture and the Warped Tour circuit. Blink-182 then evolved its songwriting on the self-titled album Blink-182 (2003), which featured darker, more expansive textures, and experienced a first breakup in 2005. The band returned in 2009, issued Neighborhoods (2011) and the EP Dogs Eating Dogs (2012), before renewed tensions led to Tom DeLonge’s departure. From 2015 to 2022 Blink-182 continued with Matt Skiba and recorded California (2016) and Nine (2019). Tom DeLonge’s return reunited the classic lineup for One More Time... (2023).
