The Offspring
The Offspring is an American band formed in 1984 in Garden Grove, California, around Dexter Holland and Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman. Emerging from the Californian punk scene of the 1980s, the band rose to prominence with Smash (1994), which became one of the best-selling independent albums in punk rock history. That success paved the way for a string of notable records, including Ixnay on the Hombre (1997), Americana (1998) and Conspiracy of One (2000), establishing The Offspring as a key name in American punk. Their subsequent releases include Splinter (2003), Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace (2008) and Days Go By (2012), before a highly anticipated return with Let the Bad Times Roll in 2021. Still led by the Holland–Noodles duo, the band has maintained a multi-decade trajectory marked by uncommon continuity and a discography that has become essential to modern punk rock history.
