THE BOBBY LEES

Formed in Woodstock, New York, The Bobby Lees operate at a crossroads of rock and roll, garage rock and punk rock, with a raw, tense, and tight sound around short songs, abrasive guitars, and a very upfront live energy. The band brings together Sam Quartin on vocals and guitar, Kendall Wind on bass, and Macky Bowman on drums, after initially counting Nick Casa into the lineup. The Bobby Lees begin their discography with Beauty Pageant in 2018, followed by the live Beauty Pageant Redux in 2019. In 2020, Skin Suit, produced by Jon Spencer and released on Alive Naturalsound, marks a more exposed step for the trio, which then tours American rock and punk stages and notably supports groups such as Black Lips, Shannon & the Clams, Future Islands, The Chats or Helmet. In 2022, The Bobby Lees join Ipecac Recordings and release the EP Hollywood Junkyard followed by the album Bellevue, produced by Vance Powell. Since their beginnings, their music has retained a dry garage tension, with occasional punk, blues rock, and noise inflections, without abandoning a compact and direct writing. Following the announcement of a hiatus in 2023, The Bobby Lees resume their journey with a new chapter opened at Epitaph Records.
