Samia

Born in Los Angeles in 1996 as Samia Najimy Finnerty, Samia built her path between California and New York, where she was active on the DIY scene before releasing her first songs in 2017. Her world sits within restrained indie pop and indie rock focused on songwriting, with crisp melodies, measured guitars and a vocal style that remains close to conversation. After an initial run of singles such as Someone Tell the Boys, Welcome to Eden, Django and Ode to Artifice, Samia released her debut album The Baby in 2020, the collaborative project The Baby Reimagined in 2021 and the EP Scout the same year. With Honey in 2023 she continued refining the tension between pop hooks and intimate lyrics, often marked by observations of relationships, doubt and selfhood. Samia is also part of Peach Fuzz, a band formed in 2022 with Raffaella, Hank Heaven and Ryann. On stage she has moved from independent circuits to larger tours alongside Lucy Dacus, Maggie Rogers, boygenius and Noah Kahan. Her third album, Bloodless, was released in 2025.
