The Linda Lindas
Formed in Los Angeles in 2018, The Linda Lindas bring together Bela Salazar, Eloise Wong, Lucia de la Garza and Mila de la Garza in a punk rock quartet with pop-punk and riot grrrl influences, driven by short, direct and melodic tracks. Initially formed for a show tied to the Girlschool LA scene, the band quickly extends the experience and makes a mark on local stages, later notably by opening for Bikini Kill. The Linda Lindas subsequently appear in the film Moxie in 2021, before a recording of their track 'Racist, Sexist Boy', performed at the Los Angeles Public Library, widely circulated their name the same year. Their writing, nourished by the energy of punk, pop choruses and themes related to adolescence, identity and social relations, takes shape on the album Growing Up in 2022, followed by No Obligation in 2024. The Linda Lindas have since toured festivals, tours and major opening acts, while maintaining a direct and lively approach, between tense guitars, tight rhythms and vocal harmonies that anchor their music in an accessible punk tradition without losing its edge.
