JJ Wilde

Born in Kitchener, Ontario, JJ Wilde emerged in the late 2010s with a taut alternative rock sound grounded in garage rock, electric blues and grunge-tinged accents. The Canadian singer-songwriter crafts direct, guitar-driven songs with a raspy voice and lyrics that alternate between tension, melody and blunt energy. After early singles, she released the album Ruthless in 2020, propelled notably by “The Rush,” and followed up with singles such as “Best Boy” and “Mercy.” Her trajectory quickly placed her on the Canadian rock circuit — radio, tours and festivals — with stage appearances alongside bands like Incubus, Pearl Jam and The Glorious Sons. In 2024 JJ Wilde issued the EP Best Of Me (Part 1), which extends her rock foundation while opening more space for a more intimate songwriting approach.
