Wheel, formed in Helsinki in 2015, has established itself in a few years as one of the most promising acts in modern prog metal. Driven by a dense, organic and deeply rhythmic sound, the trio drew international attention with Moving Backwards (2019), a debut that set the foundations of their identity: massive riffs, labyrinthine structures and sustained tension. Their second record, Resident Human (2021), more introspective and expansive, reinforced their standing while widening their emotional palette. With Charismatic Leaders (2024) Wheel reaches a new level: a heavier, more frontal and politically charged album, crafted with Daniel Bergstrand and Fredrik Thordendal, that confronts the toxic hold of contemporary authority figures. Already seen alongside Leprous, Vola and Soen on worldwide tours, Wheel continues its ascent with music where power, intent and precision intertwine without compromise.
