Ronisia

Born in 1999 in Tarrafal, Cape Verde, Ronisia grew up in Grigny in the Paris suburbs, between Cape Verdean culture and the French urban environment. She first came to public attention in the late 2010s through covers and clips shared on social networks, and she belongs to the francophone R&B and urban pop wave, blending afro influences with melodies close to mainstream chanson. Her voice, set over slow or mid‑tempo beats, syncopated rhythms and repetitive melodic lines, builds a universe focused on romantic relationships, desire, pride and intimate vulnerabilities. The release of several singles opened doors to collaborations with the rap and afro‑trap scene, notably duets with Ninho and Gazo, which further anchored Ronisia at the crossroads of rap and R&B audiences. Her first full‑length album, simply titled Ronisia and released in 2022, consolidates this aesthetic by alternating melancholic ballads with more club‑oriented tracks, and established the artist on urban stages and festivals in France and the francophone world.
