Theodora
Théodora, born Lili‑Théodora Mbangayo Mujinga in 2003 in Lucerne to a Congolese refugee family, grew up between Switzerland, Greece, Réunion, the Congo, and then several French cities before settling in Saint‑Denis. Drawn early to singing and dance, she collaborates with her brother Jeez Suave, a composer and producer, and released her first EPs in 2023. She breaks out in 2024 with the single “Kongolese sous BBL,” infused with bouyon and Afro‑Caribbean sounds. Her debut mixtape, Bad Boy Lovestory, confirms her eclecticism, blending rap, afrobeat, pop, and Caribbean inspirations, while its 2025 reissue, Méga BBL, expands her world through standout collaborations and asserts an international ambition. Her music highlights powerful themes—identity, diaspora, female empowerment, mental health—and claims the plurality of her roots. Both accessible and engaged, Théodora’s voice embodies a mixed‑heritage youth in motion.
