Zomboy

Born in Penzance, Cornwall, Zomboy emerged in the early 2010s on the UK bass-music scene with a repertoire focused on dubstep, drumstep, electro house, glitch hop and touches of hybrid trap. Prior to this project he had been active in the electronicore world under the name Place Your Bet$. He launched his solo trajectory in 2011 with the Game Time EP on Never Say Die Records, followed by The Dead Symphonic in 2012. In 2013 the single Here to Stay with Lady Chann signalled an opening toward more vocal-led formats, while Reanimated Pt. 1 and Reanimated Pt. 2 (2013–2014) continued a writing approach geared toward clubs and large electronic stages. His debut album, The Outbreak, was released in 2014, followed by Resurrected in 2015 and the Neon Grave EP in 2016. Zomboy then honed a very frontal sound built on massive bass, sharp rhythmic breaks and a sustained tension between melodic impact and dancefloor effectiveness. His subsequent releases include Rott N’ Roll, Pt. 1 (2017), Rott N’ Roll, Pt. 2 (2019), Dead Man Walking, Pt. 1 (2022) and Dead Man Walking, Pt. 2 (2024).
