Tove Lo

Born in Helsingborg and raised in Djursholm, Sweden, Tove Lo first honed her songwriting in the band Tremblebee before moving toward a more personal electronic pop at the crossroads of electropop, synth-pop, dance-pop and a darker-tinged indie sensibility. Trained at Stockholm's Rytmus school, she began by writing for other artists with teams linked to the Swedish and British pop scenes, then released her own material in the early 2010s. After the EP Truth Serum in 2014, she established herself with the album Queen of the Clouds (2014), where her direct, autobiographical writing became central. Her subsequent releases continue that trajectory — Lady Wood (2016), Blue Lips (2017), Sunshine Kitty (2019) and Dirt Femme (2022) — moving her sound toward more upfront club pop while retaining an intimate, raw tone. At the same time, Tove Lo has maintained a substantial body of songwriting and collaborations with artists such as Alesso, Flume, Nick Jonas, Charli XCX, Kylie Minogue and Lorde, and she divides her time between festivals, international pop tours and more independent projects.
