The Menzingers

Formed in 2006 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, The Menzingers bring together Greg Barnett and Tom May on guitars and vocals, with Eric Keen on bass and Joe Godino on drums. Initially rooted in direct, nervous punk rock, the band gradually broadened its songwriting toward a more melodic approach, where punk urgency remains central but blends with a wider American rock sound, driven by two complementary voices and lyrics often focused on memory, everyday life and the transition to adulthood. After a first demo in 2006 and the album A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology in 2007, The Menzingers released Chamberlain Waits in 2010 and On the Impossible Past in 2012, an album that marked a turning point in their trajectory. Having been on labels such as Go-Kart, Red Scare Industries and later Epitaph, The Menzingers have also shared the road with bands like Against Me!, Anti-Flag, The Bouncing Souls, Tigers Jaw and Jeff Rosenstock. Their discography continues with Rented World (2014), After the Party (2017), Hello Exile (2019), the reinterpreted From Exile (2020) and Some of It Was True (2023).
