Dave Hause

Born in Philadelphia in 1978, Dave Hause first came up on the local punk and hardcore scene with bands such as Step Ahead, The Curse, Paint It Black and later The Loved Ones, which he formed in 2004 with Michael “Spider” Cotterman and Mike Sneeringer. From the late 2000s he developed a solo career that blends punk rock, alternative rock, folk rock, Americana and heartland rock into a more melodic, narrative-driven format while remaining true to his DIY roots. After taking part in Chuck Ragan’s Revival Tour in 2009 alongside Tim Barry and Jim Ward, he released his debut solo album Resolutions in 2011, followed by Devour (2013), Bury Me in Philly (2017), Kick (2019), Blood Harmony (2021) and Drive It Like It’s Stolen (2023). His songwriting rests on straightforward guitar-driven songs, positioned between American road rock and punk tension, with a strong emphasis on choruses and personal storytelling. On stage he performs solo, as a duo or with The Mermaid, a lineup assembled around him and his brother Tim Hause for recent tours in North America and Europe.
