On February 23, 2027, The Menzingers and The Flatliners will perform together at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht for an evening of melodic punk that relies as much on emotion as on tempo.
The Menzingers have been building songs since 2006 in which two voices alternate and complement each other, with guitars that stay tight yet leave enough room for melody. Their punk roots are still audible, but the story has grown bigger: lyrics about memories, everyday hustle, and the moment you realize that growing up is real. From the milestone On the Impossible Past to the recent Some of It Was True: this is punk rock that endures, not just bulldozes forward.
The Flatliners provide the counterforce: they started in the ska-punk scene around Toronto, later moving toward sharper, tenser punk rock with hardcore edges and rough vocals. With records like Cavalcade, Inviting Light, and New Ruin, they emphasize prominent guitars, sing-along refrains, and that typical tour-band drive that gets a crowd moving right away.
