Randy Houser

Born in Lake, Mississippi, Randy Houser belongs to an American country tradition shaped by Nashville songwriting, ballads and Southern accents. After learning guitar at a young age and playing in bands in his home state, Houser moved to Nashville in the early 2000s to work initially as a songwriter. He contributed to songs recorded by Trace Adkins, Justin Moore and Jessie James before launching his solo career. Signed to Universal South in 2008, he released the album Anything Goes that year, followed by They Call Me Cadillac in 2010. A new phase began after he joined Stoney Creek: How Country Feels (2013) firmly established his name on the contemporary country scene with tracks like "Runnin’ Outta Moonlight", "Goodnight Kiss" and "Like a Cowboy". His subsequent albums include Fired Up (2016), Magnolia (2019) and Note to Self (2022). Houser continues to write for other artists—most notably the song "First Rose of Spring" for Willie Nelson—while remaining active on American country stages.
