Jake Owen

Born in Winter Haven and raised in Vero Beach, Florida, Jake Owen initially pursued golf until an injury turned him toward music and then to Nashville in the mid-2000s. He developed an accessible American country style that sits between contemporary country, country-pop and acoustic ballads, with a taste for bright choruses, road-centered storytelling and recurring coastal imagery in his songwriting. Signed to RCA Nashville, he released Startin’ with Me in 2006 and Easy Does It in 2009, before expanding his audience with Barefoot Blue Jean Night in 2011, an album that more clearly established his blend of country radio and pop-rock sounds. His career continued with Days of Gold in 2013 and American Love in 2016, while his tours regularly placed him on North American country stages alongside artists such as Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Sugarland and Little Big Town. After leaving RCA, Jake Owen joined Big Loud Records and released Greetings from... Jake in 2019 and Loose Cannon in 2023. Over the years he has also made numerous guest collaborations, notably with Florida Georgia Line and the Canadian duo The Reklaws.
