Steffi

Born in the Netherlands and based in Berlin, Steffi has, since the 2000s, developed a trajectory between house, techno and electro, with a marked taste for direct rhythms, clear basslines and a production style that combines club efficiency with more introspective textures. Initially active on the Dutch scene, she later established herself in Berlin, where her regular presence at Panorama Bar accompanies a discography built both as a DJ and as a producer. Her work on the labels Klakson and Dolly, which she runs, extends this approach by letting acid, machine-like house and more futuristic electro coexist. Under her own name Steffi released the albums Yours & Mine (2011) and Power of Anonymity (2014), two milestones that show club music evolving toward more developed formats without abandoning the dancefloor. She has also pursued multiple collaborations, notably with Virginia, in contexts where techno and house structures open up to more melodic tracks. Between long sets, productions and editorial work, Steffi holds a steady place in the European electronic music circuits.
