Olly Murs
Born in Witham, Essex, Olly Murs established himself at the turn of the 2010s in a British pop register blending light soul, hints of ska and reggae, immediate choruses and radio-ready production. His fame began in 2009 with his finale on The X Factor in the United Kingdom, before the release of a self-titled debut album in 2010, followed by In Case You Didn’t Know in 2011 and Right Place Right Time in 2012. This period established a repertoire of danceable pop and mid-tempo soul, carried by tracks such as Heart Skips a Beat, Dance with Me Tonight, Troublemaker, or Dear Darlin’. Olly Murs then worked with several writers and producers of English pop and pursued targeted collaborations, notably with Rizzle Kicks, Flo Rida, Travie McCoy or Demi Lovato, without abandoning a flexible and accessible vocal identity. The rest of his career moved through Never Been Better in 2014, 24 Hrs in 2016, You Know I Know in 2018 and Marry Me in 2022, with writing that remains centered on pop, blue-eyed soul and stage songs. Parallel to his music career, Olly Murs has also held a regular place on British television, while continuing tours in major venues and festivals in the United Kingdom.
