Walker & Royce

Based in New York, house duo Walker & Royce brings together American producers Sam Walker and Gavin Royce around a playful, percussive approach to club music. Active since the early 2010s, Walker & Royce first drew attention with a string of maxi releases on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, OFF Recordings and Moda Black before establishing themselves in the North American tech-house scene. Their work with the Dirtybird label marked a turning point, culminating in the 2017 album “Self Help,” where Walker & Royce developed a sound combining massive basslines, inventively processed vocals and dancefloor-focused structures. Alternating between more minimalist tracks and vocally assertive pieces, the duo navigates house, tech house and bass influences while cultivating an offbeat touch in their arrangements. Performing on club and festival stages across the US and Europe, Walker & Royce have collaborated extensively with producers and singers from the same scenes, consolidating an aesthetic that is easily identifiable within contemporary house.
