Lukas Graham
Born in Copenhagen’s self‑managed community of Christiania, the pop‑soul project Lukas Graham is built around singer‑songwriter Lukas Forchhammer, originally accompanied by drummer Mark Falgren and bassist Magnus Larsson. Emerging on the Danish scene in the early 2010s, Lukas Graham gained attention with songs that blend melodic pop, soul and R&B touches, often anchored by piano, brass sections and gospel‑inspired choirs. Their eponymous debut was released in Denmark in 2012, followed by Lukas Graham (Blue Album) in 2015, which brought the band international exposure, then 3 (The Purple Album) in 2018 and 4 (The Pink Album) in 2023. Lukas Graham’s lyrics narratively address childhood in Christiania, family, grief and fatherhood, drawing largely on Forchhammer’s personal experience. On stage the band mainly performs across Europe and North America with an expanded lineup, and they frequently collaborate with hip‑hop and R&B artists such as G‑Eazy and Wiz Khalifa, extending the fusion of pop balladry and soul influence that defines their sound.
