Laura Pausini

Born in Faenza in 1974 and raised in Solarolo, Emilia‑Romagna, Laura Pausini made her mark on the Italian scene in the early 1990s with melodious pop shaped by singer‑songwriter traditions and mainstream variety. The turning point came in 1993 with her victory at the Sanremo Music Festival in the newcomers category, leading to the release of the album “Laura Pausini” in 1993 and “Laura” in 1994. From the mid‑1990s onward, Pausini developed a parallel career in Spanish by adapting her repertoire, forging a lasting bond with audiences in Spain and Latin America. The albums “Le cose che vivi” (1996), “La mia risposta” (1998), and “Tra te e il mare” (2000) established a ballad‑centered style blending pop, adult contemporary, and Latin influences; she extended this in English with “From the Inside” (2002), then in Italian and Spanish with “Resta in ascolto” (2004). Active on major European and Latin American stages, Laura Pausini has recorded numerous duets, notably with Andrea Bocelli, while maintaining a steady discography up to “Anime parallele” / “Almas paralelas” in 2023, singing in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and English.
