David Bisbal
Born in Almería, in Andalusia, David Bisbal rose to prominence in the early 2000s in the wake of the TV show Operación Triunfo, of which he was a finalist in 2001, before launching a career centered on Latin pop, romantic ballads, and a vocal style marked by Andalusian inflections. His first album Corazón Latino was released in 2002, followed by Bulería in 2004, Premonición in 2006, Sin Mirar Atrás in 2009, Tú y Yo in 2014, Hijos del Mar in 2016, En Tus Planes in 2020 and Me Siento Vivo in 2023. Across these records, David Bisbal evolves his repertoire between Spanish pop, Latin variety, more danceable rhythms and productions calibrated to travel between Spain, Latin America and an international audience. His trajectory also includes varied stage and television formats, with live albums such as Todo Por Ustedes (2005), Acústico: Una Noche En El Teatro Real (2011) and Live at the Royal Albert Hall (2013), as well as a coach role on La Voz in Spain and then in Mexico. David Bisbal has also multiplied duets and cross-stage collaborations, notably with Rihanna, K’naan, Carrie Underwood, Sebastián Yatra, Aitana, Álvaro Soler or Carlos Rivera, which sheds light on a career built between Spanish-language pop, mainstream openness and regular presence on the major Iberian and Latin American stages.
