Infected Rain

Formed in Chișinău, Moldova, in the late 2000s, Infected Rain emerged from a still-small local metal scene by blending nu metal, metalcore and groove elements. Centered on vocalist Lena Scissorhands, whose shifts between screams and clean singing shape the band's identity, Infected Rain develops a dense sound marked by syncopated riffs, contrasting tempos and subtle electronic textures. After a self-titled EP in 2009, the band followed with Asylum (2011) and Embrace Eternity (2014), which established the foundations of a modern metal focused on live energy. With 86 (2017) and Endorphin (2019), Infected Rain refined its songwriting, adding more melody and introspective moods before exploring more atmospheric soundscapes on Ecdysis (2022) and Time (2024). The band tours regularly across Europe and North America, appears at specialized metal festivals and, despite lineup changes, has consolidated a creative core centered on the rapport between Lena Scissorhands and guitarist Vadim Ojog.
