Eleine
Founded in the early 2010s in the Landskrona area of Sweden, Eleine develops symphonic metal with gothic shades that blend clean vocals, growled singing and dark orchestrations. The project centers on vocalist Madeleine Liljestam and guitarist/vocalist Rikard Ekberg, whose harsh vocals help set the band's artistic direction, while the rhythm section has evolved through touring. A self-titled debut studio album was released in 2015, followed by Until the End in 2018, which emphasizes contrasts between accessible melodies and more aggressive riffs. Eleine then released the EP All Shall Burn in 2019 and the album Dancing in Hell in 2020, marking a heavier and more dramatic approach while retaining a strong melodic core. The band increased its live dates across Europe, often supporting other metal acts and appearing on specialised festival stages. In 2022 the EP Acoustic in Hell revisited several tracks in stripped-down versions, before the release of We Shall Remain in 2023, which confirmed Eleine's aesthetic between symphonic metal, death influences and cinematic atmospheres.
