Hatebreed
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 1994, Hatebreed initially emerged from the American hardcore scene before expanding into a dense metalcore marked by thrash- and groove-metal riffs, often straightforward tempos and shouted vocals. Centered around Jamey Jasta, Hatebreed gained attention in the late 1990s with the EP Under the Knife and the 1997 album Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire, which established a concise, tense songwriting style focused on rhythmic impact. The band increased its visibility with Perseverance in 2002, then followed with The Rise of Brutality (2003), Supremacy (2006) and Hatebreed (2009), moving comfortably between hardcore circuits and major metal stages. In the 2010s Hatebreed continued that trajectory with The Divinity of Purpose (2013), The Concrete Confessional (2016) and Weight of the False Self (2020). Despite several lineup changes over time, Hatebreed has maintained a direct approach built on compact tracks, massive production and a constant blend of hardcore aggression and metal weight.
