Melissa Bonny

Born in Montreux, Switzerland, Melissa Bonny has, since the early 2010s, developed a career rooted in the various branches of melodic metal. After beginnings in local bands, she sang with Evenmore, a folk metal outfit, then joined Rage of Light, a project positioned between trance metal, electronic textures and extreme vocals, with whom the album Imploder was released in 2019. In 2018 Melissa Bonny launched Ad Infinitum, a band she fronts and to which she contributes songwriting, in a style that blends symphonic metal, power metal and more contemporary choruses; the discography notably includes Chapter I: Monarchy (2020), Chapter II: Legacy (2021), Chapter III: Downfall (2023) and Abyss (2024). Her mezzo-soprano voice, capable of alternating clean singing and growls, is also central to The Dark Side of the Moon, a formation created in 2021 with musicians linked to Feuerschwanz and Amaranthe, whose debut Metamorphosis was released in 2023. Melissa Bonny also appears as a guest on projects by Kamelot, Warkings, Feuerschwanz and dArtagnan, while beginning a solo path with the single "Gravitate" in 2024.
