Antonio José
Born in Palma del Río, Andalusia, Antonio José Sánchez Mazuecos embarked early on a public career in Spanish song, representing Spain at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 with “Te traigo flores,” a track that also lent its name to his debut album released the same year. Ten years later, his victory on La Voz revitalized his career and launched a steady recording phase with El viaje (2015), Senti2 (2016), A un milímetro de ti (2017), Antídoto (2019), Fénix (2021) and El pacto (2023). Antonio José works within a Latin pop and romantic song register where ballads play a central role, featuring straightforward melodic writing, contemporary arrangements and, depending on the tracks, touches of flamenco-pop or light urban rhythms. Over the years he has also multiplied collaborations with Spanish-speaking artists from pop and Latin music, including Alejandro Fernández, Morat, Andrés Cepeda, Cali y El Dandee and Greeicy, situating his career within Iberian and Latin American spheres. Antonio José thus pursues a project focused on Spanish-language pop, spanning radio formats, duets and sentimental repertoire.
