The Belair Lip Bombs

Formed in 2017 in Frankston, Victoria, Australia, The Belair Lip Bombs bring together Maisie Everett, Mike Bradvica, Jimmy Droughton and Daniel Devlin around a nervy indie rock that mixes surf-punk inflections, taut guitars, melodic choruses and touches of jangle pop, post‑punk and new wave. The members met at high school and circulated their first tracks on two self-produced EPs, The Belair Lip Bombs (2018) and Songs to Do Your Laundry To (2019), before expanding their scope with Lush Life, their debut album released in 2023 on Cousin Will Records. Largely written by Maisie Everett and then developed collectively in rehearsal, the songs balance direct energy with detached vocal lines and tight rhythms. In 2024 the band played SXSW and became the first Australian act signed by Third Man Records, which reissued Lush Life that same year. After drummer Liam de Bruin’s departure, Daniel Devlin joined the line-up, and The Belair Lip Bombs followed up with Again in 2025, confirming a broader sound without abandoning the rock urgency of their beginnings.
