Wishy

Formed in Indianapolis in 2021 around Kevin Krauter, a former member of Hoops, and Nina Pitchkites, Wishy developed into a quintet with Conner Host, Mitch Collins and Dimitri Morris. Wishy operates within an indie rock idiom touched by shoegaze, dream pop and power-pop melodies, featuring hazy guitars, airy textures and alternating vocals from Krauter and Pitchkites. The band introduced this sound as early as 2023 with the EPs Mana and Paradise, two releases that established concise, melodic songwriting at the crossroads of 1990s American indie rock and a brighter production aesthetic. In 2024 Wishy released their first album, Triple Seven, and continued in that vein with the EP Planet Popstar in 2025. Rooted in Indiana’s independent scene but quickly picked up nationally, Wishy has carved out a path that links college-rock heritage, softened noise accents and a pop sensibility, while maintaining a direct, collective approach to the band format.
