Vanessa Paradis
Born in 1972 in the Paris region, Vanessa Paradis is a French singer and actress. At 14 she emerged with the very famous song 'Joe le taxi', which made a lasting impression. Her career quickly took off and the young Vanessa Paradis became a favourite of the press and the French public. She made her film debut alongside prominent actors such as Gérard Depardieu in 'Elisa' (1995) and Jean Reno in 'Un amour de sorcière' (1997). Gainsbourg wrote the lyrics for her second album 'Variations sur le même t'aime', released in 1990. Vanessa Paradis performed extensively in concert and several live albums were produced from her tours. After several years of silence she returned with 'Divinidylle' (2007), an album that met with great success. The singer, together with -M-, then composed the soundtrack for the animated film 'Un monstre à Paris'. In 2013 Vanessa Paradis released 'Love Songs', a double album produced by Benjamin Biolay, and subsequently embarked on a long concert tour across France and Belgium.
