Bryson Tiller
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Bryson Tiller developed a style situated between contemporary R&B, hip‑hop and trap, with a fluid way of shifting from singing to rapping on slow, melodic and often dark tracks. After the mixtape Killer Instinct Vol. 1 in 2011, Bryson Tiller emerged in 2015 with the track "Don't", initially released online, and then with the album Trapsoul (2015), which laid the foundations of his aesthetic at the crossroads of rap conventions and a more intimate R&B sensibility. He continued in this vein with True to Self (2017), Anniversary (2020) and the album Bryson Tiller (2024), gradually broadening his palette between ballads, more rhythmic songs and formats close to melodic rap. His trajectory has also been shaped by numerous collaborations in the American R&B and hip‑hop scene, notably with DJ Khaled and Rihanna on "Wild Thoughts", as well as with Drake, H.E.R., Travis Scott, Jazmine Sullivan and Jack Harlow. Not inclined toward media overexposure, Bryson Tiller maintains an identity centered on hushed vocals, sung choruses and straightforward songwriting.
