Majid Jordan

Formed in Toronto in 2011, Majid Jordan brings together singer Majid Al Maskati, originally from Bahrain, and producer Jordan Ullman, also from Toronto. Initially active under the name Good People, the two musicians developed a songwriting approach at the crossroads of contemporary R&B, alternative R&B, synth-pop and electronic pop with nocturnal textures, favoring slow, melodic, and atmosphere-driven tracks. Majid Jordan gained visibility in 2013 by appearing on and co-producing Drake’s 'Hold On, We’re Going Home', before joining the OVO Sound label. The duo then released the EP A Place Like This in 2014, followed by the albums Majid Jordan (2016), The Space Between (2017), Wildest Dreams (2021) and Good People (2023). Across these releases, Majid Jordan refined a more direct sound, still marked by supple vocal lines, understated pop choruses and minimalist production. Their path has crossed with artists such as PARTYNEXTDOOR, Dvsn, Khalid, ZHU and DJ Snake, and Majid Jordan has established itself on Toronto’s R&B and pop scene through several North American and international tours.
