Info
On 18 December 2026, The Lightning Seeds come home to Liverpool for a live set at O2 Academy Liverpool, with Ian Broudie bringing his razor-sharp pop-rock songwriting back to the stage. Born as a near-solo studio project in the late 80s, the band’s sound sits right where indie pop, Britpop and melodic alternative rock overlap: bright guitars, clean production, and choruses built to stick.
Expect a set that moves through the 90s run of tight, hook-heavy songs that made their name, from The Life of Riley to Change, Lucky You, Perfect and You Showed Me, alongside later cuts that keep the same crisp touch. It’s that very Liverpool mix of craft and immediacy: tunes that feel light on their feet, but never casual in the details, delivered by a band that knows exactly how to turn studio precision into live momentum.
