Info
On November 16, 2026, at Blue Note London, Robert Glasper takes the reins for a VULA jam session built on surprise and improvisation. The Houston-born pianist and producer has spent the last two decades blurring lines between contemporary jazz, post-bop, hip-hop, R&B and soul, with a groove-first touch that keeps things open without losing the song.
Expect him to set the tone at the keys, steering the night the way he does across his projects: shifting from tight trio interplay to electric colors and vocal-friendly hooks, then back into pure jazz conversation. The “unexpected guests” idea isn’t a gimmick here—Glasper’s whole world is collaboration, the kind that can jump from deep swing to head-nod beats in a single turn. This is a one-off session where the setlist stays flexible and the room does the rest.
