Kokoroko lands at Blue Note London on December 16, 2026, bringing their London-bred afrobeat-jazz to a room made for close-up grooves and big brass energy. Built around trumpeter Sheila Maurice-Grey and a tight collective of players from the UK jazz scene, the band moves between Nigerian afrobeat pulse, West African highlife swing and improvisation-led jazz, with melodies that stretch out and rhythms that keep things grounded.
If you first caught them through “Abusey Junction” and the We Out Here wave, this show is the chance to hear that signature blend in full color: choral horn lines, guitars with a soft bite, and those slow-burn themes that suddenly turn into something you can move to. Since Could We Be More, they’ve widened the palette with more vocals and soul-leaning shades, without losing the live, collective feel that makes their sets flow like one long piece.
