Info
On November 21, 2026, Robert Glasper lands at Blue Note London for a set that sits right on the edge of jazz and today’s Black music. The Houston-born pianist, composer and producer built his sound by keeping one foot in post-bop and improvisation, and the other in hip-hop, R&B and soul—always with a strong sense of groove and song form.
If you’ve followed his trio work from the 2000s, you’ll hear that same touch and harmonic depth, now stretched into a more hybrid language. And if you’re coming from the Robert Glasper Experiment and the Black Radio era, expect electric colors, tight rhythmic frameworks and the kind of playing that moves fast between fluid improvisation and hooky, vocal-minded phrasing. A night for people who like their jazz open, rhythmic, and plugged into the present.
