Rachel Chinouriri comes to Berlin on 16 September 2026 to the Säälchen and brings her melancholy-tinged indie pop to the stage — direct, narrative, and close to her voice. The Londoner writes songs that often feel like short chapters from daily life: identity, family, relationships, mental health, life between Croydon and the big city. Musically, pared-down, guitar-driven songwriting meets delicate electronic edges and clear melodies that linger even when the arrangements deliberately breathe.
At the center of the evening is her album What a Devastating Turn of Events, which in 2024 helped her move into a more distinctive alternative pop sound, without losing her intimate touch. Complementing this are newer tracks from the EP Little House, in which she broadens her sonic palette — sometimes warmer, sometimes edgier, but always with that unhurried eye for detail.
