On November 26, 2026 at SEW Morlaix, Les Négresses Vertes return to the stage with that blend that has stuck to them since the late 1980s: an energy born from the punk milieu, galloping acoustic guitars, brass that bursts in, and a very free way of twisting the French chanson with Mediterranean colors.
Born in Paris in 1987, the collective established itself with Mlah, a turning-point record of the alternative scene, and songs that have become touchstones such as Zobi la mouche or Voilà l’été. In concert, one mainly experiences this sense of rhythm and choral singing, between raw festivity and popular poetry, without seeking polish. After a long hiatus in the early 2000s, their return to touring reminded us how much their repertoire sits at the crossroads of street rock and the storytelling song, performed by multiple voices.
