Info
On December 5, 2026 at SKOPE in Lannion, Thomas Fersen returns to the stage with his art of storytelling through song. A singer-songwriter since the 1990s, he presents a repertoire in which characters and animals come to life, mixing a chiaroscuro sense of humor with the poetry of everyday life. From his beginnings with Le bal des oiseaux to more recent songs, he unfolds finely wrought stories carried by a voice with precise phrasing and acoustic arrangements that keep the language front and center. You find the same blend of whimsy and gravity, born as much of his love for chanson as of his detours into other musical realms.
Moving between guitar and keyboards—at times spare, at times more expansive—Fersen privileges narration and the striking detail that lingers. His tours have taken him across Europe and Canada, and his writing has also extended into books, nourishing a coherent, singular universe. In Lannion he offers a journey through his discography, without unnecessary effects, with that way of sketching people, beasts and situations in a few clear images. A meeting for those who appreciate story songs that are lively and precise.
