Jimmy Sax, the French saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist behind the name Jim Rolland, has built a live reputation with sets in which his saxophone remains front and center, even as the beats push fully toward pop, deep house, and electronic music. His tracks "No man no cry" and "Ibiza" (with Jul) circulated worldwide and set the tone: melodies that stick, long improvisations, and a dancefloor energy that he effortlessly carries onto the stage.
