Phoebe Bridgers

Phoebe Bridgers brings her stark, modern folk and indie rock to Co-op Live, Manchester, on 26 November 2026. Raised in Pasadena and shaped by the Los Angeles scene, she writes with a diaristic clarity, setting understated vocals against acoustic guitars, quiet electronics and restrained tension. Her debut, Stranger in the Alps, set the tone with sparse arrangements and held-back storms; Punisher broadened the palette with atmospheric strings, grainy textures and a discreet pop pulse, without losing that sense of intimacy.

On stage, Bridgers plays with space and dynamics: fingerpicked patterns, a tight band that shifts from whisper to crunch, and melodies that settle in slowly before opening up. The set often moves between hushed folk and electric swells, drawing on Stranger in the Alps and Punisher, with room for newer tracks and the occasional deep cut. Parallel projects—Better Oblivion Community Center with Conor Oberst, and boygenius with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus—feed into her live instincts, but the focus remains on her own songs and a voice that stays direct, unforced and instantly recognizable.
