Hervé Vilard

Hervé Vilard will be performing at Le Silo in Marseille on May 23, 2027. Born in Paris in 1946, he made his mark in the mid-1960s with "Capri c’est fini," which placed him within the yé-yé generation before he steered his career toward a more melodic, narrative songwriting. Since then he has built a repertoire that alternates intimate ballads and popular refrains, collaborating with songwriters, composers and arrangers from the Francophone scene.

Over the decades he has undertaken numerous tours and recordings in France, as well as in Spain and Latin America, where he regularly performs and sings his songs in Spanish. His interpretation relies on arrangements that leave space for storytelling and the voice, with careful attention to the lyrics and subtlety.
